Marital Affair in London

With over 8 million people calling it home London could be deemed the perfect place to have an affair. Not only are you spoilt for choice, you’re also less likely to get caught once you do find someone to hook up with. As we all know, nothing kindles the heat of an affair like a romantic night out for two. You’re both leaving the pressures of home behind as you focus just on each other. London offers a number of stellar restaurants where you two can enjoy a wonderful meal and get the night off to a scintillating start.

Bob Bob Ricard is a great place to begin if you want a fun place to enjoy together. The decor will take you back to the Jazz Age of the 1920s, and it is easy to celebrate your milestones together, as each booth has a buzzer labelled “Press for Champagne.” The menu blends Russian and continental choices, such as platinum vodka shots and venison tartare alongside “humble pie” on the menu. You will both definitely remember your meal here – even if you only have eyes for each other.

Berners Tavern is one of the trendiest spots in the West End and is owned by Jason Atherton, who also has opened Little Social and the Social Eating House in the same area. Berners Tavern is the grandest of the three and is an excellent place to begin your special night for two. The gigantic lobby bar is amazing, but the vast expanse of the dining room, with ornate plaster finish on the ceiling, takes the cake. The lighting is intimate, which means that drinks followed by dinner can lead to a very sensual evening indeed.

If you want to take the romance way over the top, you’ll want to stop in at Clos Maggiore, which was recently voted the most romantic restaurant in London. You can either sit in the classic restaurant area with wood panelling or move out to the conservatory, which feels like a lost forest bedecked with white blossoms that reflect off the mirrors to create a magical atmosphere. The menu is inspired by Provencal and is fantastic for a pre-theatre dinner for two.
